Web design in Rochdale.
Owned once, not rented monthly.

The Rochdale and Heywood independents we deal with are price-sensitive in a way that is entirely rational: margins are thin and every supplier wants a monthly subscription. So the question we get asked here more than anywhere else is the right one — over three years, is it cheaper to buy the system or to rent it? We will do that arithmetic with you before quoting.

The three-year arithmetic, done honestly

This is the calculation most suppliers would rather you did not do, and it does not always go our way.

What a subscription really totals

A monthly till fee, times thirty-six, plus the card rate, plus the per-terminal add-ons, plus the hardware. We publish a free calculator that does it, and it takes the numbers off your own invoice.

When renting wins

If you have one till, no delivery, no website and no intention of changing, a subscription product is genuinely cheaper and better supported than anything we would build. We have a comparison page that says so plainly, naming the products.

When buying wins

Two or more sites, a menu that changes, delivery, a website that should share the same stock, or any requirement the product does not have. That is the point where the subscription keeps growing and the build stops.

The number nobody includes

What it costs to leave. Ask any supplier what happens to your customer data, your menu and your card terminals if you stop paying, and get the answer in writing.

What we do differently for a tight margin

  • Build the smallest thing that removes a job Not a platform. One screen that stops somebody retyping orders, then the next one, when the first has paid for itself.
  • Hardware you can buy anywhere Standard network printers and off-the-shelf terminals, not a proprietary box that only one supplier can replace.
  • No per-seat fee from us Add a till, add a member of staff, add a branch — our cost does not change because yours did.

When we are the wrong firm for this

If money is genuinely tight right now, the right answer might be none of this. Fix the Google Business Profile, get the opening hours right, get twenty reviews, put the phone number where a thumb can reach it. That is free and it will do more this quarter than a new website will. We would rather tell you that and be the people you call next year.

When you do build, build the thing that removes a daily job. Everything else can wait.

Questions

Before you ask.

Is a custom till really cheaper than Epos Now or Square?

Over three years, sometimes, and we publish a calculator so you can check with your own invoice rather than taking our word for it. For a single till with no delivery and no website, the subscription products usually win and we say so on our comparison page.

What is the cheapest useful thing you could build us?

Usually one screen that removes one daily job — a menu that staff can edit, an order form that prints to the kitchen, a booking page that takes a deposit. We will scope that on its own rather than bundling it into a platform.

What happens if we stop paying you?

You keep the system. The code, the data and the hosting accounts are yours, which is the main practical difference between buying and renting one.

Ready to get started?

Tell us what you need. We will scope it, price it and build it.
