← What we build with

React Native and Expo.
And whether you need an app at all.

We build cross-platform apps in React Native with Expo, which means one codebase on both stores. We also talk a reasonable number of people out of building an app, because the friction of installing one is only worth paying when what sits on the other side justifies it.

The question before the technology

Does it need the phone, or just a phone-sized screen?

Push notifications people will actually open, offline use, the camera, location, biometrics: those justify an app. A dashboard, a portal or a booking flow usually does not, and a web app installed to the home screen does the same job with no store review and no download.

Will it be opened repeatedly?

An app earns its place on a home screen through habit. One used twice a year is a website with extra steps and an annual maintenance bill.

What we recommend most often

Cross-platform when it genuinely has to be an app on both stores; a web app for staff tools and account holders; native only when the app is the business or it depends on something the web cannot reach.

What building it with us involves

The accounts are in your name

The developer accounts, the signing certificates and the store listings belong to your business. If an agency holds them, moving later can mean republishing as a new listing and losing your reviews and installs.

Flow before visuals

The order of the screens and what a person decides on each one, agreed before anything is styled. It is the only stage that prevents a rebuild, and it is the one most often skipped.

Store review is routine

Both stores review submissions and a first rejection is normal: missing privacy answers, a sign-in with no guest path, a feature a reviewer cannot reach. It is usually resolved the same week.

There is an ongoing obligation

Both platforms ship a major operating system version every year and periodically change what a submitted app must do. An app nobody maintains eventually stops being accepted, and we price that honestly rather than pretending launch is the end.

Questions

Before you ask.

Do we need an app or a website?

Most businesses that ask us for an app need a web platform. An app earns its place when it needs notifications people open, offline use, or hardware like the camera or location, and when people will use it repeatedly. We will give you that answer before quoting.

One codebase for iPhone and Android?

Yes, that is the point of React Native and Expo. The exceptions are features that need deep platform integration, which we would flag at scope rather than discovering later.

Who owns the app and the accounts?

You do: the code, the data, the developer accounts and the listings. Ask every supplier this question before you sign anything.

How long does it take?

Most business apps are live in eight to sixteen weeks, and the range is about decisions rather than code. The long poles are accounts and roles, integrations, and anything that must work offline.
